Master Baiters For The Mulloway !!!

Thanks to Ron we have a team name haha ... Master Baiters! Kinda cool name right ;)?

Anyway this report start on Wednesday night we decided to head down to Claremont jetty to try some sting rays and flatheads but end catch alot of whiting and 1 flathead. In having said that around 11pm we spotted a huge mulloway hanging around the jetty. Both Shane and Ron pulled their big runs to drop some live bait almost in front of the monster to have it pick up Shane’s bait and splitting it out... we all quite cut after seeing it spilt the bait.

We decided to camp it out on Thursday night to try our luck bring all our big rods which was 8 big rods 3 bait rods and crab nets haha.. Start around 730pm catch the whiting and chopper tailor for bait then waited. We also met a fellow fishwrecked member hope you get the read this. anyway nothing big happened a father and son did catch a small ray on a single hook for whiting which was amazing though this old bystander with his wine keep your mouth shut next time cause seriously we had at least 3 serious fishermen there and we knew what we were doing plus rays can be kept any size !!!! (End of my rant). around 12 we just about to head off when Ron’s rod had something pull on it drag a bit of line and his bait destroyed so we decided to stay for another 30 mins or so but I had to run off due some girl problem. Anyway 30 mins later I get a call from Ron say I GOT M ULLOWAY..... Haha and sure enough Master baiters had its first mulloway of the season.
I think Ron said it was roughly 12kg and had to kept due to Shane bad gaffing skill and getting in its gills.

So it was a good night just i wasnt there when the big one came but its all good as ron finally caught his first big fish haha.
